The Music Never Stopped
How About Those MP3 Accessories?
I’ve noticed something over the past few years that most people have turned in their stale radios for ever inventive MP3 players, including most recently myself. I tried to stave off technology, fearing change as if it was a dreaded disease. I was always thinking, if it was good enough for my favorite radio DJ’s then, it must be good enough for me.
I had to begin my own search for MP3 accessories. There are more options out there than in the “walkman days” that offer the opportunity for a person to actually customize their listening experience and even effectively share their music with others.
Cases are mainly for protection while keeping Led Zeppelin within ears ready reach, but they come in virtually every color under the sun. You can choose black or silver for undetectable wear under your suit while at work or, if you want, chose the studded red case that matches your best handbag to make the undeniable statement I am woman, hear me roar!
Clips are the MP3 accessories that put the rock in your roll. You can wear them on your belt, in your pocket, on your hat and even connected to your laptop. They keep your tunes handy whether you are jogging, riding a bike or downing your latte while keeping up to date on Facebook. Armbands take that accessibility further, allowing you to wear on any appendage you want doing virtually anything your imagination will allow. Be careful though, some of those images are illegal in many countries.
Armbands are also one of the accessories that allow you to include your Blackberry, I Phone or Taser along with your MP3 player for Clint Eastwood ease in handling. These really come in handy for the jogger or exercise type. I wear one while mowing the yard. Mainly because I don’t have to worry about brush knocking my MP3 player to the ground.
Docking stations will be the MP3 accessories to serve the greatest good, allowing you to listen to Sir Elton or Mick while downing a nice cup of Earl Grey and eating scones. Of course the best part is having the option to multitask if you have an IPod touch. Even without one though, you can still get out from between those ear buds and let others enjoy your musical preference.
The most versatile of MP3 accessories are headphones and earbuds. They can be a few dollars or a few hundred dollars, depending on if you want them for audio clarity or because they look like Mickey Mouse. They can be large, hard, squishy and gooey but are there for your choice in comfort and taste, just don’t eat the ones that look like M&Ms.
The best accessory of all is the user. They are the ones that load their choice of music, play it at ear bursting decimals and listen to the masses. It really doesn’t matter what you are listening to, as long as you are listening to something. Anything else would be just beastly.
